In response to requests from a number of our customers for
larger and more complex turning jobs. RBS
Fab felt that our three manual lathes could no longer
keep pace with the demands required of them.
RBS Fab is pleased to
announce the purchase of a new Harrison Alpha Plus 550 CNC
lathe with a capacity of 32 3/4" diameter x 120' long
cut, with contouring and threading capabilities.
The Alpha Plus lathe is ideally suited for one piece, as well
as larger batch runs. This lathe allows for fast turn around
between parts. With its off-line programming capability, the
operator can prepare tool paths in advance. All this results
in reduced setup time, better quality, and a higher output
than was possible with our manual lathes.
